🌿💧✝️ Baptism: A Picture of Freedom 🌿💧✝️
Baptism does not save us, but it beautifully pictures what Christ has already done in the life of a believer.
When we are baptized, we publicly identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a testimony that our old life has passed away and that we have been raised to walk in newness of life.
"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

Baptism is a picture of freedom:
💧Freedom from the penalty of sin through Christ's sacrifice.
💧Freedom from the power of sin through union with Christ.
💧 Freedom to walk in obedience and newness of life.
As the believer goes under the water, it pictures the old life buried with Christ. As they rise from the water, it pictures the new life they have in Him.
What a beautiful reminder that because of Jesus, we are no longer who we once were. 🌿💧✝️
